Taxi, Taxi

One of the things that you have to get used to as a mom in NYC is that when you and your kids take a cab, they don't sit in a car seat. It does not feel safe at all and I really did not like doing it a few years ago, but I guess I got used to it because now it doesn't seem like such a big deal.  We don't take cabs very often, but when we do, the kids are in charge of hailing the cab.

The cabbies always stop for the kids!
Sometimes they sit nicely and...

other times they just get into tickle fights!
One of their favorite things to do in the cab is sing the "Taxi, Taxi" song to the taxi driver. After singing it, they always ask the driver " Have you heard that song before?" They get super excited when the driver answers no and asks them to sing it again.

  1. Speaking of NYC taxis, that cab ride from Jenny's apt in the upper east side to 34th and 8th took almost 45mins and cost $17. The Bolt bus cost $20 and got us to cherry hill in under two hours. You gotta love New York

  2. They look like such New Yorkers here! George was asking where you go sledding so he was excited to see these pictures.
