Myrtle Beach Part 3: Some of my favorite pictures

The entire crew.  Such a fun vacation!
Emily was only one month old!
Emily did a lot of sleeping on the beach.

This was our beach set up-- "the structure".
What happy and lucky grandparents.
Grandmom and Emily.
Poppy and his girl.

So cute!
Andy and Katie had fun dancing.
Such a funny monkey!
Katie loved being thrown in the air and asked Andy to do it over and over again!
She can get him to do anything by giving him a smile and a kiss!

Drew and Katie wearing their towel shirts.

This is one of my favorite pics--- she is so funny!
My exhausted two year old.

Myrtle Beach Part 2: Cousins!

There is nothing like a large family. Cousins are the best!

Drew, Katie, Molly and Emma- the little kids love  following Emma's orders!
Cousin Kenny, aka "Captain Scurvy" plays for the crowd.

Kenny, Sarah, Danny, Mike, Kelly, Gus, Melissa, Allie, me, Andy and Emily out for a cousins dinner!

Uncle Mike took Drew and Emma on the caterpillar! I couldn't believe it!

All of the kids went on amusement rides--  Emma, Katie and Lilly on the whale ride.

Myrtle Beach Part 1: Drew and Molly

The past five years I have gone on vacation with my family to Myrtle Beach, SC. The past 4 years, I flew down by myself with Drew / Katie and we stayed with my parents in their two room condo on the beach. This year, Andy was able to go with us - we drove our newly purchased minivan and rented our own place in the same complex as my family. It was so much fun!

Drew and Molly are only 6 months apart and they are very close.  These two cousins had the best time on vacation together...Drew loves his "Molls" and Molly loves her "Drewster".

Splash time!

One of the really hot days in August, we went to South Germantown Splash Park to cool off.  It was really fun!

The Smithsonian!

As you know, we spent a lot of time going to museums in NYC.  One of our first weekends here, Andy and I decided to take the kids to the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History .  Drew was so excited to see his dinosaurs, Katie was so excited to see all of the fish, and Emily was so excited to, well, nurse on the bench in the museum.  It was a great afternoon that we ended with a picnic on the National Mall. Best part, we are less than 10 miles from all of this!

Drew requested that I take this picture.

Love Katie's face.

Andy was pointing out all of  monuments to the kids...
But they were more interested in finishing their snacks.

Glen Echo Park

Looking over the bridge at the entrance of the park.
Andy had to finish some of his research one day so the kids and I decided to go check out a local park and enjoy the nice weather.  Glen Echo Park is less than ten minutes away and has tons of things for us to do.  While there, we also checked out a neat program called Living Classrooms that we actually were able to get into for free through our Hall of Science membership from NYC.  The kids loved exploring, painting, playing and learning about animals.

Drew loves teaching Katie.

They are so cute.

Learning about a turtle.

Emily took her first carousel ride!

So fun!

Nothing better than ice cream after playing hard!

Life with three kids

So far, life with three kids is well...wonderful!  Drew and Katie love their little sister and Emily is such a sweet and easy baby.
McDonalds lunch is always a hit after a day of errands.
Shopping sure is different in the suburbs. This cart would never have fit in my grocery store in NYC!
I love my new Honda Odyssey! It makes everything SOOOOO much easier.

We have a great neighborhood park and playground a block away from our house.  I put Emily in the ergo or stroller and off we go!

So silly!

Some of my favorite pictures - our first month in our new home

Sweet Emily.

Katie loves holding her baby sister.

Sometimes Emily is very alert...

and sometimes she is very sleepy!

My three monkeys on a bed.
Drew and Katie love climbing into the bassinet part of the pack-n-play.

Hanging out on our deck.

I love this picture of Andy and Drew and Katie.
