I never could have done everything (taking care of three little ones after a third c-section and moving when Emily was only 10 days old) without my mom and dad. Mom and Dad did whatever they could think of that made it easier for me and the kids.
Since Andy had to work every day (except the day Emily was born), Mom and Dad took care of the kids in Collingswood while we were in the hospital. Those few days were during the hottest days of the summer when temperatures were constantly 100 degrees plus. The kids cooled off in Roberts Pool, Poppy's backyard pool, bike rides around town, going to the beach, and of course by eating as many slurpees and ice cream treats as Poppy could get by Grandmom's watchful eye. They had a blast!
Then mom stayed with us in NYC to help get ready for the move and help me take care of the kiddos. The arrival of sweet Emily and the move went off extremely well and it is without a doubt because of Mom and Dad's help. Thank you to the best parents and grandparents in the world. I love you so much!

I totally agree, grandparents are WONDERFUL!!!! Especially your parents Jen...they do so many fun things with Drew, Katie, Emily and their cousins.
ReplyDeleteYour parents ARE the best! Your mom won the prize when she brought that chicken all the way from Jersey for your dinner! :)
